I would say its great place for staying and exploring Hilton Head Island.
-
Was an excellent base for weekend. Location just next door to the beach.
Our rooms should be maintained.
-
I loved location and rooms. The room was cleaned and available with Air Conditioning, a great view, a walk-in shower. Tea and coffee making equipment, and a refrigerator were a nice touch.
-
queen beds were good, room spacious, equipment was according to the expectations. staff was very friendly, courteous and helpful throughout the house. best service at the pool area (waiter mustafa)
rooms facing the interior were affected by the noise of the central air conditioning system (in front of the house). room with a connecting door to the neighbouring room was well-listened, considerably affected the night's rest. same was true for the location close to the elevators. due to the lack of an intermediate door in the room, constant stopping noises of the elevator were audible. two last-mentioned deficiencies were remedied by changing rooms. all in all, rooms are "a bit out of date" and slightly worn. therefore the price/performance ratio does not seem to be quite balanced.

The breakfast in the hotel was very good. Very very friendly staff unbelievable!!!
Everything was perfect for us!!!

The location
A bit old
-
it's a great location. especially for oceanfront rooms. enjoy sunrise over the sea in the morning from your bed.
sanitary equipment in the bathroom with tub and shower curtain does not meet the high price standard.
-
The pools
The very small room
-
Being right on the ocean,
resort fee, just charge $30 more a night, the quoted rate felt like an untruth.
-
Friendly staff and very clean hotel
I wish they would put bottle water in refrigerate when you first arrive.
-
Convenient location to the beach
Room was advertised to have either a king or two queen beds. It actually had two full size beds. Room needs some maintenance - toilet drained slowly, water diversion channel on that balcony was full of stagnant water. For the price, wireless should have been included for free. Poolside food service was slow, expensive and the food wasn't very good.
-
Not a bottle of drinking water in the room not saying of absence of a minibar. This class of hotel is expected to have. Awfull internet connection. Very poor capabilities in business center.

We've stayed at this hotel many times in the past- First stay was in 1996- it was a Hyatt at that time. Great Beach location central to all island activities and in the beautiful Palmetto Dunes resort which we love.
Hotel is in serious need of a renovation. The first room we were given upton arrival was in the south tower-the room was falling apart to say the least- Mildew/mold on the ceilings, leaky faucets, very small bathroom and very outdated decor. Since we had stayed at this hotel many times before we knew there were much better rooms for the same price ($329) per night and we were not about to settle for this room. The manager quickly moved us to a room in the main building and it was much better...but still in need of decor upgrades (ie, fixtures, paintings, walpaper outdated) We will likely stay at this hotel again and will recommend it once a renovation occurs...

I would highly recommend staying at the Hilton Head Marriott Resort & Spa to anyone. The hotel is lovely and the staff are courteous and helpful. The hotel is right on the beach and is easily accessible to fun places and restaurants on the island. I only wish I could have stayed longer!!!

The property could be better maintained. We stayed in an ocean-front room. While raining we could not use the balcony because water was running down from the balcony above us. In front of our balcony was plywood sheets that were not painted. I expected more from a Marriott property.
